Once upon a time, in a land filled with traffic jams, overpriced smoothies, and questionable health trends… we were city folk.

We chased every buzzword: vegan, organic, low-fat, keto, gluten-free, no-carb—you name it, we gave it a go.
We were doing everything “right”… and still felt completely wrong.

Our bodies were waving red flags. Loud ones.
Digestive chaos. Constant fatigue.
The kind of health issues you don’t post on Instagram.
We realized we were drowning in stress and choking on “health food” that wasn’t actually nourishing us.

So, we did what any “rational” people would do:
we sold our house in the city, packed up our belongings, and hit the road with no real plan—just a truck full of kids, ironically “organic” snacks, and a gut feeling we were meant for something more.

Wandering with Purpose (Eventually)

We wandered the country like a modern-day Oregon Trail familyminus the dysentery.
We stopped at roadside attractions, explored quirky museums, and finally started breathing again.

For the first time in forever, we weren’t rushing. We weren’t chasing. We were just living.

And somewhere between the quirky museums and quiet mornings, we stumbled into something that changed everything…

Finding Sojourner

We weren’t planning to start a farm—we were just trying to find beef that didn’t come with a side of guilt or greenwashing.

That’s when we met Pierre and Lesa Dionne, the kind-hearted stewards of Sojourner Farm—a little pasture tucked into upstate New York that felt like it had been waiting for us all along.

What started as a search for grass-fed, grass-finished beef turned into a mentorship in what we now call real food—food that nourishes, respects the land, and doesn’t need a nutritionist and a decoder ring to understand.

Learning to Be Human Again

Pierre was getting ready to retire. Instead of waving goodbye, he walked the land with us and shared everything he knew.

Rotational grazing. Regenerative farming. Healthy soil. Happy animals.

It was like reconnecting with something ancient and honest.

We didn’t just find better beef. We found a purpose—and a path we now walk with families like yours.

The Heart of ARR FARM

Today, we raise animals on the diverse pastures of Sojourner Farm—our happy place, our classroom, and the heart of ARR FARM.

It’s where we learned that healing doesn’t come from a bottle or a fad diet.
It comes from slowing down, working with nature (not against it), and growing food with integrity.

No, we didn’t grow up farming. We weren’t born with dirt under our nails—but we sure earned it.

We got here the long way—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Every pothole, wrong turn, and “are we seriously doing this?” moment led us to a mission bigger than us:
raising 100% regenerative food that actually nourishes people, the planet, and yes—our own family.

What ARR FARM Stands For

ARR stands for Alterity Regenerative Ranching.

Pronounced like “our,” because that’s what this farm is: your farm too.

ARR FARM isn’t just a name.
It’s a new chapter. A second chance. A humble rebellion against the broken food system.

And we’re proud to share it with you.

Here’s to Better Food and a Whole Lot Less Digestive Drama
